prasnlrd back from Chicago & AGPC -Part II (First Day In Chicago and Trip to AGPC )

Arrival:

I arrived in Chicago 8-12-05 at 12:38pm CST.

Upon disembarking the plane, I felt like I was some place so special that I wanted to get down and kiss the ground.

When We were going down the escalater to baggage claim, there in front of me was a large AGPC wall advertisement; I felt weak in the knees at the same time my excitement level went through the roof!

My trip to AGPC came the next day 8-13-05.

The family reunion had a bus tour planned from 9:30am-3pm which ended at Chicago's Navy Pier at about 11:30am. The rest of the day until we retuned to the hotel was ours.

HEE-HAW !!! My sister from Detroit and I caught a cab over to this AG collector's shrine AKA AGPC. This place was beyond my expectations. It was real crowded as it was
Kaya's Birthday weekend. That did not stop me though. I had made a list of what I was geeting and the CS was so great there, I had no problem finding what I wanted.

I checked Cythnia Diane and DD's HSH Skyler into the hospital. Skyler got a new head as DD had not realized she was an Ag doll and cropped (really butcherd) her hair.

Cynthia Dianne went in for a wellness visit. I found out that the hospital did not replace wigs and only replaced heads; I was going to just get a new head and then I thought OMG, I cannot do that she will not be the same. At first I had told the clerk to put on the new head and retun the old one; I was getting real distrught- then I said no just clean her up tighten her limbs and restuff her.

Since my time was limited this day due to the family reunion tour. I only took a few pictures, got my things and returned to the tour bus.

DD did not go with me as she wanted to stay at Navy Pier with her dad and cousins. I shoped til I nearly dropped and took a cab back to the tour bus. I had to cut my picture taking back due to time constraints, but DH took me back later that evening and I was able to get a ton of pictures!

This post is getting long and I have barely began to tell you all the scoop and what I got etc. In order to cover it all there will be a:

What a great weekend for you! Did your daughter come with you when you went back for your second round?

No, DD did not come back with me. She loves the AG books for older girls, but does not see to be "GA, GA" over the dolls like me. [img]graemlins/cry_smile.gif[/img]
